External Courses

There is an excellent and diverse offer of online training content published by prestigious educational institutions. The problem is that it is difficult to centrally manage the training process outside of organizational platforms.

At CLAP we have thought of an alternative to being able to align, make visible and manage these external training processes called external courses.

To complete an external course, you must submit the evidence related to the training processes you have achieved per your organization's requirements.

External courses can be accessed from the My content section.

Once you enter the Virtual and external courses section, you will find four tabs that aggregate the content as follow:

  • Active: For current external courses to be completed, it must be verified if it has a start and closing date in the upper right part of the course card.
  • Coming soon: For external courses scheduled to start on a date after the current date.
  • Complete: For completed external courses, whether or not they are approved or have already expired.
  • Suggested: For external courses you were invited to do and that you can enroll in if they interest you.

When entering an external course, you will find:

  • Surveys: If active, it supports collecting user data or opinions, including satisfaction levels with the learning process. Surveys could be required to download the certificate.
  • Forum: If active, it is used to make comments, interventions on the topics learned, questions, etc.
  • External link: To access the course or training process.
  • Submit: Directs you to the page to upload the evidence needed to pass the course.
  • Course Information: Information about the course publisher, duration, language, format, level, and enrollment type is displayed.
  • Status: Indicates the status of the course that depends on whether the evidence has already been submitted and validated by the organization.
  • Grades: Some platform administrators require that the final grade obtained for the course be informed.
  • Validator comment: If the evidence has been validated, the evaluator can make comments on it.

To access the course, select the external link option.
