A virtual course supports self-directed learning or training.
Virtual courses at CLAP are built on content pills that we call Lessons, created in different formats (for example, video, audio, HTML).
These lessons are grouped into modules that a user must navigate to complete the minimum progress necessary to complete the course and access the evaluation.
The course also has other learning resources such as forums, surveys, and complementary content.
Virtual courses can be accessed from the My content section.
Once you enter the virtual courses section, you will find four tabs that aggregate the content as follow:
- Active: For current courses to be completed, it must be verified if it has a start and closing date in the upper right part of the course card.
- Coming soon: For courses scheduled to start on a date after the current date.
- Complete: For completed courses, whether or not they are approved or have already expired.
- Suggested: For courses you were invited to do and that you can enroll in if they interest you.
Upon entering a course, you will find:
- Surveys: If active, it supports collecting user data or opinions, including satisfaction levels with the learning process. A survey could be required to download the certificate.
- Certificate and digital badges: These can be generated once the minimum progress and the course evaluation have been completed if it has one.
- Evaluation: If the course has an associated assessment, it will be enabled when you complete the required progress of the course.
- Forum: If active, it is used to make comments, interventions on the topics learned, questions, etc.
- Progress: It is updated as the user completes the contents (lessons) of the course.
- Complementary or extra content: These are optional lessons with additional content that support the learning process but are not required to complete the course.
- Duration: It is the total time it takes to complete the course contents.
- Modules: This shows the number of modules that make up the course.
To access the lessons, select the module and lesson you wish to navigate.
Remember: To complete a virtual course you must navigate the modules and lessons to obtain the minimum progress required to complete the course or to access the evaluation if one is assigned to it.
